Today was a good day for me. To start off, in history we finished chapter 7 in our books and did a vocabulary assignment.  In English we are watching a movie called Blind Sight.  Blind sight is a documentary about six blind teenagers climbing the peak next to Mount Everest, led by seven-summit blind mountain-climbers. In Science we are starting to learn about earth science, and plate tectonics. In reading we are finishing our story about Anne Frank and her life in hiding.  After Reading we went to math and worked on Pg. 329 in our workbooks. And to finish the day off, we learned how to make a panorama in technology.

     Math class today was just math class. A comment made, though, because we were unusually quiet, was, "I don't think anybody is in the best of moods today." In science class, we took our test, and then I started the blog post you're reading now. Also, Tejlor and I played “volleyball” with a piece of a marker board eraser. 

     Next, I had to go to civics class. We are writing speeches for our constitutional convention "simulation". Reading was the next class I had. We were reading book, and have been for a while. It is a play based on The Diary of Anne Frank. Then comes band and choir. In band, we played the “Brookpark Overture”. I’m pretty sure you’ve got no idea what that is. In choir, we sang some Latin song and  “Dust in the Wind”.  Again, you’ve probably got no idea.
            In English, we really didn’t have much of class. We took the NeSA writing test. Basically, they give you a writing prompt, and you have to write a descriptive essay on the topic. The prompt was to write about a place you enjoy. I wrote about the sheep barn. After lifting weights in P.E., I'm kind of sore.

Today, in O'Neill High School, everybody just looks sad. Plain sad. A student's mom died last night. Many people are missing her. We have almost started a chain on Facebook: (I didn’t feel right about including names)

     After being sick for four days, I woke up in a fog.  Last night we got a call from my school stating that we would have a state writing assessment today. The alarm clock blaring close by and my eyes refusing to open, I still felt awful. I picked myself up and got ready though. We did indeed have testing during sixth period and believe I did pretty well. The prompt was something we had already touched on in English, it was a description writing on our favorite place. I wrote mine on Grove Lake, by Royal, Nebraska. It is a place I literally care about, definitely one of my favorites. Although I can think of every detail of that place in my mind it helped that I had recently wrote a similar piece. So, basically I slept for four days to awake on the fifth with a headache, I went to school to do a very long writing assessment, and got a TON of homework just to return home again. In conclusion, I would like to inform and to state this to all who don't already know being sick is not fun.

Today is Thursday which means tomorrows Friday, thank goodness. I started off my day with Math. Then I went to science where we discussed Pangaea and plate tectonics. I then went to civics where we are doing a reenactment of the constitutional convention. In reading class we finished the play in our book called, "The Diary of Anne Frank." We then read about other diary entries from other people who lived through the holocaust.
 

 After Lunch, during English class, we watched a documentary called, Blindsight. It is about the first blind man to climb Everest, Erik, and how he took a group of blind students on the same expedition he had taken.
