After being sick for four days, I woke up in a fog. Last night we
got a call from my school stating that we would have a state writing
assessment today. The alarm clock blaring close by and my eyes refusing
to open, I still felt awful. I picked myself up and got ready though. We
did indeed have testing during sixth period and believe I did pretty
well. The prompt was something we had already touched on in English, it
was a description writing on our favorite place. I wrote mine on Grove
Lake, by Royal, Nebraska. It is a place I literally care about,
definitely one of my favorites. Although I can think of every detail of
that place in my mind it helped that I had recently wrote a similar
piece. So, basically I slept for four days to awake on the fifth with a
headache, I went to school to do a very long writing assessment, and got
a TON of homework just to return home again. In conclusion, I would
like to inform and to state this to all who don't already know being
sick is not fun.
Here are some pictures of Grove Lake;
