Thursday, Nov. 29 by Kadra

It is almost Friday and we have a lot done. In English we read a little out of Bronx Masquerade. We are reading it because we are starting poetry. Which excites me, I love poetry. In Civics we got to look at our test grades and we played a game with current events. In Science we checked the worksheet we did, and in Reading we read and answered questions to The Monkey's Paw. That is some of the excitement for the day. BYE :)

Today in English we stared poetry and leaned about poetry and downloaded stuff from angel. I can’t wait to start writing. Later that day we had a pep rally for the wrestlers, basketball players, and the one acts. It was a good day.

On Wednesday. November 28, 2012 we had to do DGP. The sentence was ( The hair of the affrighted pedagogue rose upon his head with terror). Then we stared doing poetry. For that subject we were reading out of the Literature book and read poems of a lot of people Like Robert Louis Stevenson. And that is what we did to day.

Tuesday, Nov. 27 by Alexa

Today, Tuesday, November 27 we did a lot of stuff. First off, in civics we took notes on city governments. In English, we did DGP, drop boxed our CBL presentation to Angel, and  also went on our writing forums, and posted our favorite piece of writing to the virtual coffee house. In reading we did our lesson eight vocabulary assignment, and did our teenbiz. Last but not least, my favorite part of the day. The A&B team left at the end of sixth period to go Creighton for a basketball game. A team ended up winning 28-36.

Monday November 12, 2012
Hi! Well its Monday bummer right? Weekends gone, I thought today was going to be boring as every Monday is, but it wasn’t today we had our veteran day program. The program including songs that the O’Neill Public band along with St. Mary’s band they played a few songs the one that stuck out the most was “The Star Spangled Banner.” In fact that happens to be our nations song. Also we had retired veterans talk to us and tell us stories. A few high school students also came up and spoke. I didn’t realize how important our veterans are to me and how proud I am to be free and I’m sure you all feel the same.  The veterans name in this picture is Mel.

Daily Blogger - November 26, 2012

-->
Today, Monday, November 26 was a busy day for most of the school at OHS. In English class we talked about Daily Grammar Practice at the beginning, then we talked about Daily Blogger (what I’m writing about now). Then we moved on to our Challenge Based Learning project. My group is doing ours on reducing the amount of abortions in the United States, but we still need to get out solution going.
But other than working in English class, tonight is the first high school basketball game in Tilden. Also, there is a JH wrestling meet in Neligh. Tomorrow, my basketball team has game tomorrow against Creighton. Wish us all luck at our athletics!

Thanksgiving Break by Jake

Over Thanks giving break all of my family went to my grandma's house to have a big meal. My grandma cooked turkey, ham, potatoes, and about anything else you can think of. We had our meal during the Nebraska Husker game. Nebraska game from behind to win. It seems we always do that. Otherwise i had a great break.

October 29 by Allison B

It's October 29 and they school is buzzing with students waiting for Halloween on Wednesday!  In English class today we've been working on our Patriot's Pen essay, which is an essay that has to be something we would like to tell the founding fathers.  It has to be between 300 and 400 words, which is a lot harder to keep it under 400 words that you think.  We got paired with a partner who peer reviewed our essay and gave us feedback.  Also, today is the first day at basketball practice that we get to split into A team and B team.  A team gets to practice at the elementary school this week, as the B team gets to practice at the 38 building.

Tues. Nov. 6 by Cyrus

Today we are writing to the editor because we are trying to be better at persuasive writing. The writing is easy if you know what you are doing (I am terrible). I am doing the project on smoking. We have to complete it all within one day. There many areas where you could get information on your subject. Even though it seems really hard but it isn't. We are also taking a test in Geography. The test isn’t hard if you study it. It is a short test, but there are some hard questions on the test.

The test has multiple answer on, what things doesn't go with the others, the phrases, and much more.

Tues. Nov. 13 by Devin J.

Today was the mid-state one act festival and all state music at Lincoln. In English class we talked to Mr. Crumley about nebraskacess.com and watched a video about a teacher in India.

Thursday, Nov. 8 by Gaby

On Thursday, math class we went over our practice test. We did a worksheet, we were timed and practiced, it helped me.

In English class, we did our DGP and we worked on our letters to the Editor, I talked about Relationship Violence. It was quiet and everybody worked hard and some got done in time with the letter to the Editor. It was kind of fun.

In Science class, we did our packets and did our vocabulary, and studied for a while, like always. Mr. Morrow was talking about lots of stuff it got me confused a little.

Anyways it was kind of weird, fun, crazy day.

Tuesday November 6, 2012
Today in English class we had a workday for catching up, improving things, and working on letters. We got to work on letters to the editor. The letters are apart of our CBL projects and in changing the world. We get to send them to the newspaper of our choice and they might get put into the newspaper. The junior high girls also had a basketball against Ewing and they won 24 to 16.

Wednesday, Nov. 7 by Corbin

Today I wasn't at school because I am in FFA. At FFA today we learned about how to be good role models and how to be good leaders in the future. We also learned what you get back when you use respect to others and include others into whatever your doing. We also got to meet some new people. It was really fun despite being crowed into a small gym with 400 other kids, but it was a fun and productive day.

Friday, Nov. 10 by Deven F.

Today our class had a busy day for sports in O'Neill. We had state volleyball at Grand Island. That was fun. There was also a JH wrestling triangular in O'Neill with Neligh and Plainview. At the same time the wrestling triangular was taking place a JH Basketball game was taking place in West Holt. The JH basketball game was A&B team.
In English class we talked about fractured fairy tales. Our fractured fairy tales are really fun. What our assignment is, is to take a famous fairy tale and change it to 1st person point of view. Fairy Tales are usually told in 3rd person point of view and our assignment is to change it to first person and change up the story a little, therefore you get fractured fairy tale. In Agriculture we got assigned to make a Soil "Know-Book." A soil know-book is a booklet that we are making to tell us about the components of soil and what it consists of.

Today was a fun day. During English class we did DGP as usually, then we put our letters to the editor in the envelopes. Our rest of the day was easy and fun, for math we did an easy assignment that everyone got done. That’s good because at five o’clock the Junior High wrestlers had a meet. We did all right. During reading we worked on our fractured fairy tales.

Hunting during the school day

Well today I was out of town.  Actually I was deer hunting, so I'll tell you about my day instead of school. we went hunting and never seen one deer that whole day, except the dead one's but who want those?  So we came to town at the end of the day and had a personal experience with my CBL project.  When we came to town we found the deer that we have been hunting for the entire week dead in the back of a persons pickup that we can't say the name of.  We eventually find out he was poached off our land, and because of that I didn't get a buck this year,"yet."
