March 19 by Allison B.

On Tuesday, March 19, it was a normal day at O’Neill Schools.  It started out as a normal morning of walking into the lunchroom to get my normal breakfast: fruit snacks and apple juice.  Then a normal day of classes: math and science, but then in social studies, we started to talk about the Cold War.  With learning this lesson, our class is going to make a re-creation of the Rosenberg Trial.  My part in the trial is being Roy Cohn, a Prosecution lawyer.
Then the day was normal through reading, study hall, and lunch, but in English we started learning about a “Why I Want to Go to College” essay contest.  With this contest, all of the students get to write an essay persuading the UNL College for why we want to go to college and why we think college is important.  We all started off by writing a pre-write of our essay. Our pre-write is basically how we want our essays to look and what information will be in each paragraph.
We finished off the day with a normal class of business trends and then went outside for a normal day of track.  Overall, I think I would say today was a normal day.
In the picture on the side, it shows Jason and Sabrina finishing their pre-write for the "Why I Want to Go to College" essay.
